HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Crystal Blake has a clear opinion of her husband, Frank Blake, Jr.
“He’s a manipulator and he’s just malicious. He’s a malicious person. He doesn’t have any regard for anybody but himself,” Crystal Blake said.
Frank Blake, Jr. is charged with bigamy and forgery in Henrico County, where prosecutors say he wed Crystal Blake before divorcing his first wife.
Crystal Blake says Frank’s whirlwind courtship ended when papers arrived at their door. She recalls Frank reading the papers, telling Crystal that he was officially divorced, and asking her to marry him. They got a license in Henrico County and were married that day.
She first suspected that Frank was lying about six months later, after they broke up. With a lawyer, she checked Henrico County marriage records. What she found was shocking.
“There was indeed a license on file for him and I, and him and Jessica,” she explained.
Crystal discovered that Frank had married a third woman, named Jessica.
By that time, Blake was in jail on unrelated charges. When she confronted Frank, Crystal says he successfully wooed her again, convincing her that she was his only true love.
But the truth hit her like a ton of bricks.
“One day I went for visitation and she was there,” she said.
Crystal claims she took Jessica to the courthouse to see what their husband had done.
“I paid for a copy of both our marriage licenses,” she explained.
Jessica Blake claims Crystal’s marriage to Frank was a sham, legally and emotionally.
Crystal says good riddance to the suspected bigamist.
“Nothing good has ever come of this relationship,” she said. “At the end of the day I want be divorced from him.”
She’s unconcerned that Blake is behind bars with bail set at $40,000.
She’s also a little angry.
“Am I a woman scorned? Absolutely,” she said. “If he gets in trouble for this so be it. He deserves it.”
