HENRICO, Va. (WRIC) — Fire marshals are on the scene of a house fire on Mary Street in Henrico County that has left one person dead and one person in critical condition on Friday morning.
When crews arrived on the scene flames were seen coming out of the roof.
A male and female were trapped inside the house and firefighters immediately went inside to rescue them.
When pulled from the fire, both victims were in cardiac arrest.
Crews were able to revive the female victim, but the male victim died.
They both were transported to MCV Medical Center.
The female victim is still in critical condition.
A firefighter was also injured during the rescue. They were cut on their left arm and was also sent to the hospital, but expected to be okay.
