HENRICO, Va. (WRIC) — A couple of years ago the international company Minacs announced a new call center would open in Henrico County and with it 250 jobs. Now the company says they’re expanding and will need 400 plus full time workers.
“We’re looking at hiring some of our local talent here so I’m very excited,” said Minacs operational manager Antonio Terry.
Terry says they are working on a new site for the new employees equipped with a gym and cafeteria. A healthcare client told the company they were in need of a lot of help which is what’s leading to the expansion.
“If they want to grow and they have a place where they want to work and that they enjoy, i’d love to talk to them,” said Terry.
Terry says they’re looking for applicants with a high school diploma or an equivalent, a customer service background, and people that want to help.
“If they don’t have a background in the health care industry, that’s ok. We have a fantastic training program here and so we can teach them the things they need to know,” said Terry.
And if you’re looking for a career, Terry says the call center is a great start.
“One of the things that’s great about working at Minacs is that we often times promote within. We have managers here that actually started as agents on the phone,” said Terry.
