RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — We will be dealing with a weather system today that will keep us mainly cloudy with light rain showers throughout the day.
It won’t be a complete washout, but you will certainly want to have that umbrella handy. It will be cool today with highs in the upper 70s to near 80. The showers will slowly depart this evening and tonight but the clouds will remain for a while. Our overnight lows will drop in the middle and upper 60s.
Clouds during Saturday morning will give way to party sunny skies and it will be pleasant with lower humidity and highs near 85.

Sunday will be a great day with sunny skies and highs in the middle to upper 80s.
The heat and humidity will return for Monday along with partly sunny skies. Look for highs in the upper 80s to near 90 and there is a chance of a few afternoon thunderstorms.
Our next weather system will approach the region on Tuesday bringing us more clouds with a chance of rain and thunderstorms. That system will clear out Tuesday night and sunny skies will return for Wednesday through the end of next week.
