CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WRIC) — Authorities have arrested four people after a Southern Police Equipment store located at 7609 Midlothian Turnpike was robbed on Friday.

Authorities are unsure of how many guns were stolen, but say they’re being recovered now in Newport News.

Police confirmed that at least two male suspects entered the business and stole multiple firearms. Surveillance cameras at a nearby store showed images of three female suspects involved in the robbery. The female suspects drove to Southern Police Equipment in a blue sedan and picked up the two male suspects.

19-yer-old Deshawn Shields, 25-year-old Endyia Washington, 22-year-old Mariah V. Walker, and 20-year-old Xavier S. Green have all been arrested and charged with burglary and grand larceny.

The suspects are currently being processed at the Newport News Jail.

A fifth person involved has been identified by detectives, but they are still working to determine how she is involved in this incident. She has not been charged at this point.

Store managers told 8News the suspects took down a power meter in hopes of disabling the stores security system before climbing onto the roof and breaking into the store through an air conditioning unit, valued at about $20,000 dollars.
