RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — We will see plenty of clouds across central Virginia today as a very weak weather system moves over us from the Carolinas.
This will bring us the chance for a few hit or miss showers but we are certainly not looking at any substantial periods of rain nor any washouts. We will see our high temperatures climb into the middle 80s and it will be very humid. Any showers will end this evening and our skies will become partly cloudy during the overnight with lows in the lower 70s.
Thursday will start off with partly sunny skies with highs climbing to around 90. However, during the afternoon a cold front will approach from the west and that will bring us a good chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Any thunderstorm will have the potential to produce locally heavy downpours.

That cold front will push to the east late Thursday night and early Friday morning allowing for cooler, less humid air to push into the region for Friday and the upcoming weekend. We will see partly sunny skies for Friday with highs in the middle 80s.
Saturday and Sunday should be mainly sunny with highs remaining in the middle 80s.
