HENRICO CO., Va. (WRIC) — A warehouse in Henrico will be back in business ‘shortly’ after crews were able to quickly extinguish a fire inside the building’s cardboard baler.
According to Henrico Fire spokesperson Danny Rosenbaum, crews responded to a fire inside a large, single story warehouse at 5710 South Laburnum Avenue at roughly 1:45 p.m. First arriving units initially reported no fire visible, but later located flames inside a cardboard baler in the rear of the warehouse.
Crews were able to mark the fire under control quickly. No injuries were reported.
“Due to the quick extinguishment, the business should be able to resume activities shortly,” Rosenbaum said in a press release.
