Man hits banks in Chesterfield & Petersburg during robbery spree

CHESTERFIELD CO., Va. (WRIC) — Chesterfield Police are searching for a man who robbed the Argent Credit Union Branch at 3611 Oxbridge Road Wednesday morning.

The robbery occurred shortly after 10 a.m.

Police said the man entered the bank, approached a teller and passed a note demanding money. The suspect did not display a weapon. He then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male between 20-30 years old. He was wearing sunglasses, a black fedora, a red/orange pullover and dark colored pants.

The suspect appears to be the same man who robbed the Bank of Southside Virginia branch on S. Crater Road in Petersburg shortly after at 11 a.m. No one was injured during that incident.
