HAMPTON, Va. (AP) — A 44-year-old Richmond woman who is charged with concealing her son’s body in the trunk of her car has a court hearing in Hampton.
The Virginian-Pilot reports that Tonya M. Slaton is scheduled to appear Tuesday for a preliminary hearing in General District Court. She is charged with one felony count of concealing a dead body.
The decomposing body of Quincy Jamar Davis was found in Slaton’s trunk after a state trooper pulled her over on Interstate 64 in Hampton on June 6.
Davis’ whereabouts cannot be accounted for in the 11 years since he was a middle school student in Virginia Beach. A missing person report was never filed.

Davis would be 25 now.
The cause and manner of his death has not been determined.
