Mostly cloudy skies throughout Saturday; Upper 80s and sunshine expected on Labor Day

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — It won’t be feeling like summer is on its way out over the coming days here in central Virginia. Although the humidity has been pushed out and temperatures will be a bit cooler today and tomorrow, the heat will return by the time the kids get ready to head back to school on Tuesday.

For today, look for some sunshine this morning quickly giving way to partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies, there is even the risk for an isolated shower and rumble of thunder. Highs today in the lower to middle 80s, also humidity will be a bit more comfortable now that our flow is out of the north. More of the same on tap for your Sunday, high pressure regains control on Labor Day with highs back into the upper 80s under mostly sunny skies.

Temperatures back into the lower 90s come the middle of the week along with a return of the sticky conditions.
