PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — The actions of four officers may have saved the lives of three males who were shot in Petersburg Saturday night.
The shooting occurred at around 11:30 p.m. in the Pin Oaks apartment complex. When police responded, they made contact with a vehicle transporting the three victims in the 1500 block of E. Washington Street.
The four responding officers administered a quick clot medication that helped stop the bleeding, which, according to Petersburg Police spokesperson Esther Hyatt, is believed to have possibly saved the lives of the three individuals.
Two of the victims were transported to the hospital via ambulance and the other via med-flight. Each victim remains in the hospital in stable condition.
Police are looking for those responsible, and say no motive is known at this time.
