BLACKSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia Tech football announced that senior quarterback Michael Brewer had successful collarbone surgery Tuesday. Once he heals, he is cleared to rehab. The window for his return is anywhere from four to eight weeks, depending on how quickly the bone mends and how quickly he can get back to being comfortable playing football.
Junior backup Brenden Motley will replace Brewer. Highly recruited true freshman Dwayne Lawson and redshirt freshman Chris Durkin are also on the roster.
