RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The State Fair of Virginia will end Sunday, October 4. Don’t miss out on the rides, farm animals, places to shop, concerts and a lot of yummy fair food for you to enjoy.

FRIDAY
- The Pumpkin Patch: Gallmeyer Farms Pumpkin Patch is open for the 2015 pumpkin picking season. The patch is open through October 31. Free admission, parking, hayrides, picnic area, play area, and hay bale maze. They have pre-picked and pick your own pumpkins for sale as well as seasonal gourds and mums and fall veggies.

- RVA Dream of Fields Fest: With craft beer and wine, local cuisine and live music by Charles Bradley, Black Joe Lewis, The Congress and the Neil Tibert Band. Proceeds will benefit inner-city youth baseball facilities in Richmond.

SATURDAY
- Hogtober: Enjoy a day out with family and friends at Richmond’s Hogtober fest. There will be face painting, balloon art, arts & crafts, pig skin ring toss and more. You can also enjoy a taste of Carolina, Texas, and Memphis style BBQ. Vegetarian options are also available.

SUNDAY
- Party on the Avenues: This event will celebrate the authentic, locally grown charm of the Westhampton community. Libbie Avenue, between Patterson and Guthrie avenues, will be closed to traffic, enabling attendees to browse local vendors and enjoy games, shopping, food, craft beer, wine and live music from three local bands. Proceeds will benefit the Evelyn D. Reinhart Guest House, which provides overnight accommodations to out-of-town families of patients at the nearby campus of Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital.

- Things Your Man Won’t Do: This play will be filled with drama and comedy. Actor Allen Payne, who gained mainstream notoriety in such cult classics as New Jack City and Jason’s Lyric and most recently TBS’s hit show, House of Payne and Terri J. Vaughn, who became a cultural icon as “Lovita Alizé Jenkins-Robinson” on the long running hit TV series “The Steve Harvey Show” lead the star-studded cast, while actors Leon, known for his uncanny ability to transform into some of musical history’s most unforgettable entertainers, including Little Richard and David Ruffin, Essence Atkins, who gained notoriety in the hit films Deliver Us From Eva and A Haunted House and the shows Half & Half and Are We There Yet?, along with theatre veteran and singer Tony Grant, who currently stars on OWN’s hit comedy Love Thy Neighbor, round out the big-name, celebrity cast.
