(KRON) — New Android vulnerabilities put more than 1 billion devices at risk of remote hacking.
The flaws are located in Android’s media processing components, and they can be exploited through crafted websites.
The vulnerabilities can lead to remote code execution on almost all devices that run Android, starting with version 1.0 of the operating system released in 2008 to the latest 5.1.1 version.
To fix this problem, a security upgrade will be available on October 5.
