HENRICO, Va. (WRIC) — Henrico County Division of Fire’s Fire Marshal’s Office has determined that a fire at a Wendy’s restaurant late Saturday night on Brook Road was caused by a lightning strike.
At roughly 9:45 p.m. Saturday, Henrico County Fire units responded to the 10177 block of Brook Rd. and found smoke inside the restaurant and fire on the roof of the structure.
All employees and patrons were able to evacuate the restaurant without injury.
Since crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly, the business is only expected to be out of service for a short period of time.
