GOOCHLAND CO., Va. (WRIC) — Goochland County was hit hard by storms Saturday evening, and with roughly 2,500 residents still without power, the county is offering ways to help beat the heat.
Residents in need of drinking water can go to Fire-Rescue Station #5, located at 2710 Fairground Road, where they can fill containers with potable water. Residents MUST bring their own containers.
Also at Fire-Rescue Station #5, the county will open a Cooling Center from 2-8 p.m. Residents are welcome to stop by to get out of the heat, but must leave by 8 p.m.
Food will not be available.
