RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — An adult male is in stable condition after he suffered an undisclosed injury at Richmond’s Belle Isle and had to be rescued from the river.
The rescue was made roughly 30 feet north of Hollywood Rapids at around 4:30 p.m.
According to an official with Richmond Fire and Rescue, a bike team was already on scene when the call came in at 3:47 and made contact with the individual shortly after 4 p.m. When the river rescue team arrived, a boat was deployed. The man was rescued and taken to a local hospital.
