HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A 76-year-old woman was found by police in her car in the woods after she got separated from her family while following them on Interstate 295.
Police say the woman was following family members home in her vehicle on I-295 near Creighton when they became separated. When she did not return home several hours later, police were called.
The woman’s phone was pinged in the area of Creighton Road and I-295. Her vehicle was found overturned in a wood line.
She suffered minor injuries and was transported to VCU Medical Center for precautionary reasons.
