RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — It’s a bit of a cool start, but we’ll warm up quickly — even warmer than yesterday afternoon, with a high of 78.

Skies are sunny to start, but we’ll bring in a few afternoon clouds. Winds are SW 5-15 mph. There’s one word to describe tonight: mild! Our low will only drop down to 56 degrees. We’ll see mostly clear skies in the early evening clear out overnight. We’ll have perfect viewing conditions to see the International Space Station this evening. Visible for only 4 minutes beginning at 7:46 p.m., it will move from the NW sky to the South/Southeast. Best viewing will be away from the city lights and buildings, although tonight’s viewing will be very high in the sky so you may even be able to see it above the trees this time around.

Friday’s forecast is easy… sunny & 72. We’ll be sunny to start on Saturday, but clouds build in the afternoon. High of 70.

8DayFull

By Sunday this dry pattern finally breaks down as out next weather maker approaches. A cold front will bring a few showers around, mainly in the afternoon. High of 70.

Next week will start out cooler, with partly cloudy skies and a high of 64 on Monday.

Tuesday will also be partly cloudy with an afternoon high of 67. We’ll be watching another system by the middle of next week.

Showers look likely either Wednesday or Thursday (or both, depending on timing of front and how fast/slow it moves).
