RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Washington Post is reporting that the Washington Nationals will hire Bud Black to be their new manager. Black most recently managed the San Diego Padres. The Padres fired Black in June after one of baseball’s highest payrolls began the season with a sub-.500 record.
The Nationals have not confirmed the report and will not do so until the World Series is over, at the earliest.
