HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Henrico County Police have arrested two people suspected of robbing an elderly woman.
Police identified the pair of people wanted in connection with the robbery as Eric David Moore of Amelia Courthouse and Terry Lynn Ryder of Ashland. Both have been located and arrested.
According to police, the incident happened in the parking lot of a business located in the 10100 block of Brook Road on Wednesday at 4:41 p.m. The elderly victim says she was loading groceries into her vehicle, when someone approached her from behind, ordered her to bend down, then took the victim’s purse from her vehicle.
The elderly woman was not injured, but just a while after that incident was reported, police believe two suspects used the woman’s credit card at a nearby store.
The two suspects were also captured on surveillance video at another store in the 11200 block of West Broad Street. Police believe they used the victim’s credit card to purchase electronics.
Moore was charged with grand larceny, credit card fraud, credit card forgery and robbery. Ryder has been charged with one count of credit card fraud.
