RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond police are investigating an armed robbery near the VCU campus.
Authorities tell 8News that two people were walking along West Marshall Street near Gilmer Street when three men approached them. One suspected hit a victim in the chest and stole a purse while another hit the second victim in the head.
Two of the three suspects are in police custody. The third is still on the run this morning.
The victims suffered minor injuries but are expected to be okay.
