Two killed in afternoon crash in Prince George County

PRINCE GEORGE, VA (WRIC) – Prince George County Police are investigating a traffic fatality that occurred Friday afternoon that claimed the life of two County citizens. Friday at approximately 3:45PM, officers were called to Bull Hill Rd just north of County Drive for a traffic crash involving two vehicles.

The investigation revealed a 1998 Jeep Cherokee was traveling north on Bull Hill Rd when it crossed the center line and struck a 2008 Chevrolet van that was traveling southbound. Both drivers had to be extricated from their vehicles and were flown to VCU Medical Center.

Teresa Weston, age 66 and Richard Freeburn, age 52 succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.

This is the third death in less than a week for motorists in Prince George County. Police remind drivers and passengers that surviving a crash significantly increases when wearing a seatbelt.
