RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Tonight we’ll see mainly clear skies turn partly cloudy, with a low of 55. Winds are light and out of the southwest.

Tomorrow we’ll see partly cloudy skies with a high of 74 —more than 20 degrees warmer than normal. Winds are SW at 5-15mph.

Monday morning will be mostly cloudy but dry. Showers move in from west to east, and will be in Richmond/along I-95 just after the lunch hour, say between 1-3pm. Rain will be with us through the evening. Highs on Monday are still very warm by December standards, with a high of 72 degrees.

High pressure and sunshine return on Tuesday with low 70s. Wednesday looks like sun and mid 60s. A strong cold front arrives Thursday bringing another round of rain, and it’ll looking heavier than what we’ll see tomorrow. Thursday’s high will be 63.

Friday we’ll get an initial cool-down with sunny skies and a high of 50. The real chill arrives next weekend … after giving the furnace a break for a good stretch, you’ll need it by next weekend with highs in the 40s and overnight lows below freezing.
