HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) — The Hopewell Police Department is making the public aware of a suspicious vehicle that recently following two juvenile females in the city.
During the afternoon hours of January 7, police say a small, blue or green pickup truck followed two female juveniles in the 2000-25000 blocks of Atlantic St. According to police, the driver stated to one of the students, “if I were any younger, I would ask you to get in the truck.”
Police canvassed the area but did not find the vehicle or the suspect, who is described as a white male in his late 30s to early 40s. He was wearing a black beanie and a gray shirt.
“We will have an increased presence in the area, and we encourage citizens to report these types of incidents as soon as they happen,” Hopewell Police Captain Mike Whittington said in a release.
