Grand jury indicts man in connection to deadly Henrico shooting

HENRICO, Va. (WRIC) — Officers have indicted a man in connection to the shooting death of a Richmond man.

Henrico Police responded around 8:50 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2015, for reports of a shooting in the 5200 block of Art Avenue. Once on scene, officers found an adult male victim outside of a residence dead from a gunshot wound. The victim was identified as 27-year-old David Overton Agurs of Richmond.

25-year-old Ramann L. Harris was indicted by the grand jury on June 24. He was charged with first degree murder, malicious wounding and two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Harris had been previously charged with possession of a firearm by convicted felon relating to this incident and was being held in the Henrico County Jail.
