CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The two suspects charged in a murder for hire killing of a Chesterfield car dealership owner appeared in court for a hearing Tuesday.

The case against Melvin Leonel Sandoval Vasquez and Narcis De Jesus Lemus Mendoza was continued.

Police say Vasquez and Mendoza were hired to kill 60-year-old Adel Elmadany.

Elmadany was found dead inside his car dealership on Turner Road last February.

In June 2015, a detective testified in court that after the murder, both Vazquez and Mendoza drove back to the Washington D.C. area, where they’re from, to meet with the man who allegedly hired them. They claim Arshad Mahmood rewarded them with pizza, beer and $3000 each.

Mahmood, a Pakistani national, is still on the run and is wanted for conspiring to kill Elmadany for hire.
