ASHLAND, Va. (WRIC) — Police are investigating after an unknown suspect robbed an Ashland gas station at gunpoint Sunday morning.
The robbery occurred at approximately 9:10 a.m. in the 500 block of South Washington Highway.
Police say the suspect produced a semi-automatic handgun and demanded an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect then fled on foot and possibly entered a vehicle parked at a nearby business in the 300 block of Ashcake Road. No shots were fired an no one was injured.
The suspect is described as a male of unknown race, standing between 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-8 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with a black mask covering his face.
