HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Henrico County Police arrested a dad for allegedly taking his toddler son along on a drug deal.
Brian Edward Puckett is behind bars after a prosecutor says he took his 2-year-old son with him to score heroin.
At his court arraignment, the prosecutor explained Puckett drove to a Taco Bell with his child in the back seat.
He allegedly bought the drugs in the fast food parking lot and snorted it there.
According to the prosecutor, police busted Puckett after he drove away.
Arrest warrants show that the 30-year-old suspect is charged with child neglect with a reckless disregard for life.
He’s also charged with drug possession.
Puckett asked the judge to release him on bail because he has a job interview on Friday.
He was granted a $5,000 bond.
If Puckett makes bail, he’s been ordered to stay away from his son and from drugs and alcohol.
The little boy is now at home with his mother.
