HENRICO, Va. (WRIC) — Mechanicsville Little League’s Majors National All-Stars are headed to the Little League Southeast Regional after running through competition from all over Virginia this weekend.
Mechanicsville defeated Central Loudoun’s National League All-Stars 15-1 Tuesday at Tuckahoe Little League in Henrico County to advance.
According to one tournament organizer, Mechanicsville outscored opponents approximately 90-10 during the state tournament.
The boys from Hanover County will try to punch a ticket to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Penn. by winning the Southeast Regional Tournament, which takes place in Warner Robins, Ga. from August 7 to August 13.
