RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Police are asking for the public’s help tracking down a person of interest in an investigation into a homicide on Midlothian Turnpike from May.
Detectives have released new images of the person of interest to get assistance in identifying the man in question.
The images were captured at a local convenience store recently.

At approximately 3 p.m. Thursday, May 7, officers were called to the 6500 block of Midlothian Turnpike for the report of a shooting. In a parking lot they found Sylvester Nichols, 24, of the 6300 block of Glenway Drive, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The person of interest in the images is described as a black male approximately five feet eight inches tall.
