RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Very warm weather and potentially some stormy weather area on track for the area for the next week or so as we remain stuck between a strong Bermuda High to our south (the heat) and a cold front to the north (the storms).
The stronger the high gets, the hotter it will be (that should be Monday and Tuesday) the closer the front gets, the stormier it will be (much of the latter part of next week).
Tonight starts off with a chance of an early evening thunderstorm, to be followed by fair skies and overnight lows in the lower 70s.
Saturday and Sunday will be hot and humid with a mix of sun and clouds over us. There will be isolated thunderstorms both afternoons as highs reach into the lower to middle 70s.
Monday and Tuesday are the HOT days. Highs will be the middle 90s (and may take a run at 100 in a few spots) under mostly sunny skies.
The front from the north is due in here starting on Wednesday, and that cold front will be close enough to where showers and thunderstorms will become more likely. That will be the pattern through the end of the week with highs in the upper 80s and the lower 90s.
