RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — As the Richmond Spiders began fall practices this Thursday, redshirt sophomore Kyle Lauletta took the field as the starting quarterback.
Head Coach Danny Rocco said Lauletta earned the advantage thanks to his performance in the spring game and his work ethic during the offseason.
Lauletta has large shoes to fill, he will replace Michael Strauss who finished 2nd on Richmond’s all-time touchdown passing list behind Eric Ward.
The young quarterback is not fazed, and believes he can manage the offense and still be as productive as his counterpart before him.
