RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Today is a huge day at Washington Redskins training camp as the team will hit the field this morning with the Houston Texans for the first of three days of joint practices!
Today and tomorrow the practices are open to the public, but you’ll need to have one a lottery ticket for the Saturday practices. In order to snag a lottery ticket, fans must have completed an application by July 20.
Redskins General Manager of Retail Sales, Mark Lynn, says he is counting on three days of big numbers thanks to a second NFL team coming to town for a second straight year.
“The other popular one is we do a match up t-shirt that shows the Redskins and Texans in camp and that’s been very well received this morning.”
Not only are star JJ Watt and the Texans coming, but so is the HBO documentary series Hard Knocks. The series follows every move the Texans make, so if you show up at camp, you just might make it on television!
