BLACKSTONE, Va. (WRIC) — Police responded to a home invasion Saturday morning on North High Street where two females were trapped inside the home after a subject allegedly broke into the home with a gun.
According to the press release, officers were able to remove a screen from one of the first floor windows and physically removed the girls from the residence and brought them to safety.
Virginia State Police Tactical Teams used the assistance of canine units to search the property.
The house was found unoccupied.
The children were unable to give a description of the suspect.
No one was injured and no firearms were recovered.
