CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The death of the teen shot and killed by an off-duty Richmond Police officer has been ruled a homicide.
The cause of death was said to be a gunshot wound to the pelvis.
The off-duty officer was having his vehicle washed when officers say Paterson Brown, Jr. got into the car and drove it out of the wash bay. The officer told Brown to get out, which reportedly lead to a struggle and then Brown’s death.
The teen was unarmed. No one has been charged in the case.
