RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A former University of Richmond football player was charged with distribution of marijuana and sale of drugs.
Police say Jeremiah Hamlin picked up a three pound package of marijuana at the University of Richmond post office.
Hamlin was a sophomore running back with thee Spiders. School officials tell 8News that he’s no longer enrolled with Richmond University and is no longer a member of the football team.
Hamlin was arraigned this morning in Richmond General District Court. He was processed at Richmond City Jail and has been released.
Hamlin has a preliminary hearing set for February 10.
