RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A cyclist was struck in Richmond on Thursday morning.
Around 7:42 a.m., officers were called to East Broad Street near the intersection of North 17th Street for the report of a bicycle colliding with a car.
Early investigation indicates that a male bicyclists traveling south entered the westbound travel lane of East Broad Street and was struck by a Chevy Impala that was traveling westbound.
The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital with injuries that are not considered life threatening.
No charges have been filed at this time.
One lane in each direction of East Broad Street near 17th Street were closed for a short time during the investigation.
