CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Fire crews responded to a fire at a vacant home Tuesday morning.
Fire officials were called to the home, located at 10501 Cattail Road, at 6:46 a.m. for a report of a structure fire. Units first on scene arrived to find the single story home fully involved with fire. It took firefighters a little over an hour to get the blaze under control. Crews worked from the outside of the home due to the heavy flames inside.
Officials say it appears that no one lived in the home.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Chesterfield County Fire Marshal’s Office.
