RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC)– A Richmond police officer is recovering after being shot during a pursuit.
It happened just after midnight Sunday at Garland Avenue and Hooper Street.
Investigators say the officer was questioning a suspect when that man took off.
As officers chased the suspect, he fired several shots at them.
The bullets hit one officer in the leg. His injuries are not life-threatening. He is expected to be ok.
Police did ultimately arrest the suspect.
