(MEDIA GENERAL) – The FAA announced United Airlines flights will resume this morning following a short stoppage Wednesday, July 8, 2015.
All U.S. United flights were grounded shortly before 9 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time due to computer issues. About an hour later, the FAA confirmed the stoppage had been lifted.
The Associated Press first reported the issue was related to “network connectivity” issues, which United confirmed.
United issued a brief statement: “We experienced a network connectivity issue this morning. We are working to resolve this and apologize to our passengers for any inconvenience.”
This is the second time in two months United has been forced to ground flights over technical issues. The airliner had a temporary halt June 2 due to computer animation issues.
